An Introduction to the Ancient healing Science of Ayurveda
February 23, 2015
Ayurveda is the ancient system of healing from India that uses food, herbs, lifestyle, yoga and mediation to bring balance and the removal of disease by initiating our own true nature. This interactive workshop will introduce the fundamentals of Ayurveda and how to apply in your daily life.
Learn how to determine your Ayurvedic type through the elements of Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. If you’ve struggled with weight issues and ill health you will
learn how different foods and lifestyle can affect you individually and
how to bring your body back into balance. Discover ways to improve your digestion, ignite your digestive fire and enliven your overall well being enhancing your every day life.
Yoga is the sister science of Ayurveda and we will begin our
journey with a rejuvenating practice of Yoga in the morning to
centre and awaken our senses, followed by an insight into the
science of Ayurveda. We will then take a walk through the beautiful trees and down to the lake of Liss Ard Estate before lunch.
You can either bring lunch to share or eat in the lovely cafe
at Liss Ard.
In the afternoon learn how Ayurveda can help you individually, touching on diet and health issues and complete the day with
a super relaxing restorative Yoga including Yoga Nidra to send
you on your way feeling restful, restored and inspired!
